The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is a cooperative of all sectors of government, state, and private agencies to preserve the area. The area provides visitors with a wide variety of plant and wildlife viewing. As well there are a large number of recreational activities in the National Recreation Area including, hiking, bird-watching, surfing and bike riding. The park is administered by the National Park Service and includes 580 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. This Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Geography Map is a handy way to quickly lookup NRA locations that you need to find in a hurry.
